About the Event
The San Jose “Seahawks” Rugby Football Club (SJRFC) looks forward to holding the “Larry Bang Bang Memorial Golf Tournament” charity golf tournament at the Shoreline Golf Links Golf Course in Mountain View on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
The tournament honors lifelong rugby fan and Seahawks supporter, Larry Oakenfull. For over 40 years, Larry rallied spirits by beating his drum on the rugby sidelines, hence the name “Larry Bang Bang.” Sadly, Larry passed away in 2019, and we all cherish the moments we have had with him and greatly miss his presence. The SJRFC would like to welcome our many supporters and friends to enjoy a great day on the course, while fundraising on behalf of the Men’s and Womxn’s teams.
